XTRAC therapy uses ultraviolet light to treat Psoriasis, reducing or even eliminating Psoriasis symptoms altogether. It is carefully targeted so it does not expose any of your healthy skin. Unlike many other treatments, XTRAC therapy has virtually no side effects and is pain free. The therapy is performed typically 2 to 3 times a week and patients are in an out of therapy in just minutes. Within 6 to 10 treatments, patients will see significant improvement in their Psoriasis, up to 95% clearance with continued treatment. Results will last 4 to 6 months.
Psoriasis is a skin disease marked by red, itchy, scaly patches. Although Psoriasis can just be considered a skin condition, it actually starts underneath the skin as a disease of the immune system. Like many skin diseases, Psoriasis can also manifest itself in many different ways. These are the major types of Psoriasis treated with XTRAC:
This is the most commonly form of Psoriasis. Symptoms include raised, inflamed, red lesions covered by white scales. This typically occurs in the elbows, knees, scalp, and lower back.
This form is more commonly seen in children and young adults. Symptoms include small, red, individual spots on the torso, arms, and legs. This form can often clear on its own.
Symptoms for this form include bright-red lesions, smooth and shiny in appearance. This form typically occurs in the armpits, groin, under the breasts, and around the genitals and buttocks.
This form is seen in adults and is therefore considered an adult disease. It appears as white blisters of noninfectious pus surrounded by red skin. It can affect most of the body surface.
This is an inflammatory form of Psoriasis appearing as redness of the skin and shedding of the scales in bed sheets. Like Pustular, it will also typically affect most of the body surface.
This form is also very common, ranging from mild to very severe with thick plaques covering the entire scalp. Visible signs for this form can even extend to the forehead, around the ears, and back of the neck.
No need for messy creams or a daily skin care routine.
